Here is the second Chapter to In Ashes. Enjoy!
Where is he?
“Where is dad?” I asked. “I’m going to get you water first.” I didn’t ask for water. Something was up…
5 minutes later
“Are you sure you want to know?” I was soooooo ready. “Of course!” I yelled. “Well, I wouldn’t be yelling like you just won first place at your states gymnastics meet.” Uh, oh. That must mean something really bad happened. “Your padre was yelling at the firefighters that they weren’t going fast enough so he went into the fire to try to get you out and, well, he did but he will probably be in a wheelchair for the rest of his life and will have to do physical therapy for a long time. SAD FACE. “W w w w why did he do that? H h h h he shouldn’t have gotten me out. That was w w w what the firefighters where s s s supposed to be doing. Right?” “You are correct. The firefighters should have gotten you out of the fire. They should have, but they didn’t. They didn’t know you were in there.” Oof to me. I thought.
