1st Baking Post! (Rocky Road Cookies)

Hi everyone! Today I’m going to be sharing the first thing I ever baked! These are a big hit with my family! Enjoy!

🍪 Rocky Road Cookies 🍪

8 tablespoons butter, softened (one stick)

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 egg

1 tablespoon milk

2oz milk chocolate chips

3/4 cup all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon cocoa powder

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

2oz white chocolate chips

1oz mini marshmallows

2 baking sheets

Parchment paper

Large mixing bowl

Electric mixer or whisk

Metal spoon

Oven mitts

Cooling rack

Step One:

Preheat your oven to 375°F (180°C). Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Use an electric mixer or whisk to cream the butter and brown sugar together in a mixing bowl.

Step Two:

Beat in the egg and milk. Use a metal spoon to stir in the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and half the chunks of milk and white chocolate.

Step Three:

Place spoonfuls of the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them well apart. Flatten slightly and bake for 5 minutes, until the edges are starting to become firm.

Step Four:

Remove the cookies from the oven. Immediately sprinkle the cookies with the marshmallows and remaining chocolate chips, pressing them down into the cookies.

Step Five:

Return the cookies to the oven for another 5-6 minutes, or until slightly soft to the touch. Let them cool for 5 minutes, then transfer to a cooling rack with spatula.

If you make these cookies, put it in the comments!

Happy Baking,

Ali O
