Baking: Funfetti Cookies

Hi everyone! This recipe is one of my favorite cookie recipes. They are REALLY good. I found this recipe on thewoodandspoon.com. Enjoy!

🍪 Funfetti Cookies 🍪

Ingredients:

10 tablespoons unsalted butter, at room temperature

1 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar

2 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 large egg

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

3/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

1 cup rainbow sprinkles

Step One:

Preheat your oven to 350°F. Prepare two sheet pans by putting silicone baking mats or parchment paper on them.

Step Two:

In a large mixing bowl or the bowl of a stand mixer, cream the butter, sugar, and brown sugar on medium speed until light and fluffy. This will probably take around 2 minutes. Scrape the sides of the bowl and add the vanilla extract and the egg, beat on low until incorporated. Add in the flour, baking soda, salt, and cream of tartar, beating on low speed just until all of the dry ingredients are combined. Scrape the sides of your bowl and add in your sprinkles. Beat until combined.

Step Three:

Scoop out 1 1/2 tablespoon size scoops (I used a small cookie scoop) and roll each ball in your hands to smooth out the rough edges of the dough. Place on the prepared baking sheets about 2 inches apart. Bake in the preheated oven for around 10 minutes, or until the tops of the cookies have started to crack and the edges have set. Cool on the sheet pans for about 5 minutes before removing to a cooling rack to allow them to completely cool.
